The project? Chivas Regal 18 and Pininfarina asked us for a landmark product to showcase their collaboration. We suggested an ice press, in Chivas 18-blue, heavy gauge aluminium, styled with Pininfarina’s sculpted, aerodynamic curves. Overcoming significant technical challenges, we created a stunning device that forms a perfect ‘drop’ of ice in under one minute. The result? Launched in 2014, the press was gifted to the top bars in the World’s 50 Best, before being rolled out globally. Bars, consumers and the media loved it. So much so, that we helped create a consumer version sold through Travel Retail.
